Are you a motorsport enthusiast looking for the first step in their marketing or PR career?

The purpose of this internship will be to support the Heritage and Extreme E team on the planning and delivery of a series of activations, events and projects as well a core focus on process innovation and implementation.

This summer internship will be a hybrid position between the McLaren Technology Centre, Woking and home as well as the possible requirement to travel to an event or be on call over an event weekend with time back in lieu.

What you'll learn

Core activities

  • How to work with dedicated logistics company to transport Extreme E show car and heritage customer cars

  • Research, book and communicate Extreme E teams travel schedules for events and driver appearances

  • Manage the show car 2022/23 calendar

  • Assess processes and make recommendations for efficiencies

  • Build specialist quotes for car requests

  • Support the wider Brand Experience Teams as required

Projects

  • McLaren Hosted Event, Silverstone (22nd July - 23rd July)
    • Support in the operational planning and on-site delivery at the event
  • Heritage Book Project
    • Research and produce car specific heritage books to accompany cars once sold. Source and curate photos, statistics, narrative and talking points
    • Work with supplier to finalise quality of produce and delivery timelines
