Develop your live entertainment photography skills through mentorship, workshops and opportunities to capture events at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Royal Albert Hall is a registered charity (number 254543), held in trust for the nation’s benefit. Our purpose is to promote the Arts and Science and preserve and enhance our Grade I listed building.

Introducing Future Focus, our mentorship programme for emerging live entertainment photographers.

What you'll be doing

If you're a young photographer at the beginning of your career, this programme is for you. Between September to December 2026 you'll receive mentorship, shadowing opportunities and partake in workshops with three industry photography mentors. Additionally, you'll have opportunities to photograph our events and showcase your work at the Hall at the end of the programme.

Eligibility: Who can apply?

• Applicants must be aged between 18 - 25.
• Applicants must be able to travel to the Royal Albert Hall multiple times per month to take part in this scheme.
• Applicants must have demonstrable evidence of their live entertainment photography work (although please note a professional portfolio or website is not required).
• Applicants do not need to own their own photography equipment, as this can be provided for the duration of the scheme.

When applying, you'll be asked to upload examples of your work and tell us a little about why you would be suited to Future Focus. We're looking to select three young photographers to take part in this year's scheme, so we'd love to see the work that best represents your style and creative vision.
