Channel 4 is looking for someone with a passion for social/digital media and creativity who can bring lots of ideas and energy to this apprenticeship role.

4creative is the multi-awarded, highly creative, in-house agency for Channel 4. It forms part of the Brand division.
Within that, 4creative is responsible for developing and delivering all advertising campaigns for Channel 4 in every media. As such, 4creative plays a key role in projecting a coherent sense of the 4-brand family both outwardly and internally throughout the Channel 4 business.
As a digital creative apprentice you will be learning and working in lots of different areas within the creative agency. The role is based in our Leeds office, however travel will also be involved to our London office, post houses and shoots. (Travel and Hotel for work purposes will be expensed).
We’re looking for someone with a passion for social/digital media and creativity and who can bring lots of ideas and energy to the role. The role will show you the whole creative process, from ideation to delivery of final assets, and allow you to explore different areas to experience the different roles within the creative agency. From ideas for show names to tactical social content, from film-making and editing to posters and stunts, this role will cover and broad spectrum of creative approaches.
Key responsibilities
Assisting the creative team in the delivery and management of campaigns and content creation including, but not limited to:
- Learning about the creative process, from ideation, creative development, production and delivery.
- Social research and insights to help inform campaigns/ideas.
- Sourcing material for projects, pitches, briefs.
- Shadowing promo directors to gain insight into directing and editing content.
- Ideation for campaigns and digital/social projects.
- Helping put together presentations for internal pitches/presentation.
- Contribute and pitch ideas.
- Attend shoots in a runner capacity, providing production/creative support.
- Sharing the work produced to the wider team.
- Quality assurance and delivery of campaign content.
- Be passionate about and understand the Channel 4 remit.
Knowledge, skills and experience

- Verbal and written communication skills
- Verbal - e.g. experience of dealing with customers or working as part of a team.
- Communication – e.g. writing emails, completing an application form or essay, or if you have a hobby that involves creative writing.
- Attention to detail - e.g. Cashing up on tills or proofreading coursework.
- Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks - e.g. Planning events whether personal or for professional purposes, as well as managing work life balance, for example working whilst doing coursework/exams.
- An understanding of and a passion for Channel 4's remit
- Mac & PC literate
- Demonstrable passion for social media, digital marketing and advertising
- Must be a quick learner, curious and an early adopter of digital and social technologies
- Basic knowledge of the Adobe creative suite and an interest to learn/develop new skills/programs
About our apprenticeships
Our apprenticeships are full-time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. You’ll spend 60% of your working week in your office base and 40% working from home.
The formal training provided will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and in some cases residential boot camps. You can read more about the qualification being offered for this apprenticeship below.

Am I eligible to apply?
- You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts to apply. There is no upper age limit.
- You’ll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE
- You can’t have already completed the qualification being offered or similar at the same or higher level
