The 10 Group is looking to hire a media relations account executive to play a central role in its fast-paced, highly creative integrated marketing and communications agency in Marylebone, London.

Responsibilities

  • Management of assigned tasks based on timings provided
  • Support the organisation and logistics of campaigns, events and launches for clients
  • Support account managers/directors in day-to-day client communications, managing expectations and delivering updates e.g. EOW updates, WIP documents
  • Client responses
  • Diarising of relevant deadlines/milestones/holidays e.g. campaign launch dates
  • Ownership of project wrap up decks - helping to pull in relevant team members for the information needed
  • Daily monitoring of client and competitor coverage
  • Writing press releases and daily reactive commentary
  • Building media distribution strategy
  • Selling in for assigned press activity
  • Performing journalist outreach based on prescribed media plan
  • Reporting on media coverage with clear indication of expectations for clients
  • Ability to develop opinion pieces (blogs, articles, op-eds)
  • Story ideation and commission surveys and Freedom of Information requests to generate stories
  • Ability to identify and support on new business opportunities, including research
  • Internal meeting notes distribution (1 hour after meeting)
  • External meeting note capture distribution (1 hour after meeting)
  • Assist with client presentations and reports


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in communications/media relations
  • Managing multiple accounts and client requirements
  • Outstanding organisational skills are required
  • Excellent media relations skills: strong media and journalist contacts and strong track record of securing earned coverage in broadcast, print and media to place spokespeople as commentators
  • Excellent grasp of the media landscape and fast evolving news agenda
  • Excellent client servicing experience, including daily comms and reporting
  • Strong internal and external reporting process
  • Excellent collaborator and enthusiast
  • Although not essential, you may have B2C and B2B experience
  • You may also have an understanding of SEO practice
