The class ceiling open workshop
Workshop date and time: Tuesday 11th February 2025, 11am – 12.30pm
This 90-minute workshop spotlights the experiences of working-class talent, addresses barriers to entry and highlights practical solutions to make workplaces more inclusive.
The percentage of people from working-class backgrounds in the creative industries is at its lowest in a decade. Join us for this 90-minute online workshop to shine a light on this often hidden dimension of diversity. Led by a D&I specialist, this session is for those looking to take action against class discrimination. We’ll take a look at:
- How we do we form assumptions about class?
- Taking a look at intersectionality
- Addressing barriers to entry and progression in the workplace
- Challenging classist microaggressions
- Advocating – how can you be an ally?
- Practical solutions to class inclusivity
The workshop will provide a supportive environment for learning, reflection, and relaxed conversation. Please note that this workshop is capped at 15 attendees to ensure plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Please note there is a fee for this workshop run by Creative Access, with more details found via the 'Apply' button. As a social enterprise, profits are reinvested back into the running costs of the organisation.
