In October 2021, Frieze also launched No.9 Cork Street, a permanent space for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London. Frieze is part of the IMG network.

The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all editorial and fair content on frieze.com. Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Content Operations Manager, they will manage the publication of online content in line with SEO standards and digital strategy. 

Please note this role may require some international travel during the year.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and review digital content on frieze.com, including editorial, fair and partner content as well as VIP/editorial newsletters, ensuring that content meets SEO standards and is posted to schedule 
  • Devise the yearly publishing schedule for all digital commissions in accordance with the Editor-in-Chief’s content plan
  • Working with a cross-departmental team, ensure the smooth and timely execution of the master content calendar for all web properties developed by the Content Operations Manager, Editor-in-Chief and Head of Studios 
  • Facilitate Fair takeovers on frieze.com, including site imagery, user journey and content flow and management
  • Lead on image selection for the website, optimising SEO standards and ensuring that visuals are compelling and consistent 
  • Edit web heads and decks for editorial and advertorial content, ensuring that they are legible, engaging, SEO optimised and in accordance with Frieze’s house style 
  • Analyse analytics data; track and report on all site metrics  
  • Work closely with the Editorial team to implement data-based strategies to optimise traffic
  • Manage the overall appearance of the frieze.com homepage, landing pages and user journey
  • Act as the primary liaison with the digital team to ensure that the front and back ends of the website meet content-production requirements and suggest improvements where needed
  • Coordinate new and existing web projects across the Content division, including translated content and interactive maps
  • Liaise with the marketing and design teams on site strategy, visual assets and digital enhancements 
  • Line manage the London-based Web Assistant
  • Working with the Content Operations Manager and Editorial Coordinator, devise and improve workflows around content production and budget management
  • Manage new writer contracts and vetting process for new vendors

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Solid experience coordinating content and production for high-traffic websites
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Good working knowledge of CMS
  • Good working knowledge of SEO
  • Proficient in Google Analytics or data-analysis systems
  • Impeccable proofreading skills
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
