Discover Creative Careers: professional facilitators network

Ready to use your professional experience and insights to inspire young people?

Join our professional facilitator network this September and be part of the UK wide Discover Creatives Career Programme, delivering sessions that help young people aged 16-18 to gain confidence and find pathways for a future career in the creative industries.

Deadline for applications: Applications will be reviewed and facilitators appointed on a rolling basis. Please apply at your earliest convenience.

Salary: £220 per session or £350 per day plus travel expenses

Working pattern: Freelance facilitators will host sessions for young people aged 16-18 will take place at schools, colleges and youth organisations across the UK and should be 1-2 hours in duration. All sessions will be pre-arranged and we will liaise with each facilitator to ensure they can participate in sessions which are convenient and work for them.

Location: We have opportunities UK-wide but we are keen to encourage facilitators to deliver sessions in their own local areas. Travel expenses will be applicable.

Start date: A schedule of sessions across the UK will commence during October 2026 and we will provide opportunities for facilitators to take part over the next two years.

Session Details: Each session will be an opportunity for you to talk about your career, helping young people build confidence, identify their strengths and understand the skills, behaviours and pathways needed to succeed in your particular industry and the wider creative industries.

Our Outreach Manager will work with each facilitator individually, and as a wider group, to ensure they have all the resources and support they need to deliver a successful employability session and can offer additional support where required. There will also be the opportunity to network with other facilitators across the whole of the UK.

About the programme:

The Discover Creative Careers Programme connects young people with work experience, resources and opportunities to make creative careers more accessible, especially for underrepresented communities. Delivered by the Creative Careers Collective - Futures for All, Creative UK and Creative Access - the programme brings together employers, educators and industry to help young people explore opportunities, build confidence and take their next step into creative careers.

Underpinned by a single UK-wide digital platform, young people can access work experience, employer encounters, webinars, networking events and paid progression opportunities, while teachers, parents and careers professionals can benefit from dedicated resources and support.

The programme has a particular focus on widening access for young people from under-represented backgrounds and underserved communities, creating clearer pathways into one of the UK's fastest-growing sectors.

What we're looking for

• Enthusiasm to help young people aged 16-18 discover opportunities for future careers in the Creative Industries
• Professional experience and insight which you are open to sharing with others
• Good organisational skills
• Good communication skills with a willingness to deliver sessions to classroom-sized groups aged between 16-18.
