Develop creative marketing campaigns that build brands, engage audiences and drive book sales.

DK is bold, global, and growing. From bestselling gardening titles and award-winning cookbooks to international fiction and beautifully crafted children’s books, our publishing is broad, innovative, and constantly evolving. Across every genre, our publishers, editors and designers work hand-in-hand with authors to create books of the highest quality – authoritative, eye-opening, and enduring.

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to help bring our books to readers everywhere, from mouth-watering cookbooks and inspiring gardening guides to captivating travel books and lifestyle titles. The Marketing Executive will play a key part in supporting campaigns that spark curiosity, build our brands, and connect with home cooks, gardeners, travelers, and lifestyle enthusiasts alike.

Working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, the Marketing Executive (with managerial guidance,) will plan and deliver campaigns that make an impact. Collaboration is key, and the role will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, PR, Editorial, and Sales to make every campaign as creative and effective as possible, from initial concept through to results reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver consumer marketing campaigns across digital print and social media
  • Work with authors, agents, and brand partners to maximise visibility and promotional opportunities
  • Support on high-profile campaigns, brand partnerships, and key project launches
  • Brief and manage the creation of promotional assets, from social media content and POS to catalogues and video
  • Collaborate with Head of Digital Marketing and agencies to deliver paid advertising that drives pre-orders and book sales
  • Deliver seasonal and brand campaigns (for example, Christmas or retailer promotions) and smart backlist programmes that drive sustained sales
  • Regularly communicate campaign plans and results with key internal stakeholders including Editorial, Sales, Publicity and International teams
  • Review campaign results and share insights to help shape future activity
  • Manage budgets, approvals, and timelines with care and attention to detail

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experience in supporting marketing campaigns within publishing or a similar field
  • An interest in using audience insights and data to inform marketing strategies
  • A good understanding of social media platforms and how to engage audiences
  • Creative and organised with a real enthusiasm for bringing ideas to life with guidance and support
  • Enjoys working with others, with good time management skills to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Commercially aware, interested in market trends, and thinking about how marketing can drive sales and engagement
  • Comfortable analysing campaign results and suggesting creative approaches for next time
  • A clear communicator who can quickly build strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Above all, passionate about travel books, cooking, gardening, and lifestyle publishing

In return, you’ll join a collaborative, supportive team where creativity is encouraged and no two days are the same. It’s a fantastic opportunity to build your skills, make your mark on some of DK’s most exciting lifestyle publishing, and grow your experience across every part of marketing.

We have a range of benefits to reflect our commitment to our people, some of which are:

  • 25 days paid holiday entitlement in year one, plus bank holidays
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Volunteering policy and charity matching
  • Employee assistance programme
  • 60% discount on company books
  • Cycle to work scheme and discounted gym membership
  • Flex Fridays (1pm Finish*)
  • Shopping discounts
  • Up to 30 days remote working from abroad*

*Subject to certain criteria being met.
