Join BBC Sport as a multi-platform content producer, shaping compelling football content across TV, radio, and online. You'll support the football content editor, manage key relationships (e.g. Premier League), and lead a team delivering engaging features and interviews. As part of a 7-day content operation, you’ll play a key role in enhancing BBC Sport’s football coverage across platforms.

The producer will help grow BBC Sport’s Premier League content by developing high-impact features with clubs and stakeholders. This role suits someone experienced in digital and linear production, full of ideas and audience insight. A strong grasp of BBC and social platforms is essential, along with a passion for football and a proven ability to create compelling, original content that resonates across platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivery of high end, high impact football content to our passionate football audience
  • Supporting our relationships with the Premier League, Premier League clubs and other key partners; negotiating access within and outside of contractual requirements
  • Overseeing the planning, execution and distribution of feature content from the football delivery team to wider BBC teams and lead on cross platform planning
  • Supporting a team of assistant producers and researchers in the planning and delivery of ideas and content ensuring the highest quality and editorial standards
  • Collaborating with other areas of the BBC to ensure the content we create reaches the widest possible audience
  • The producer will give office based editorial support to the football content editor and production manager and help to deliver high impact content on time and on budget


Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential

  • The successful candidate will already be at producer level or an experienced assistant producer who can demonstrate best practice in content production that is aligned with the future of BBC Sport and our values
  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate collaborative working and will have experience of working with football clubs and the demands of producing content in that space, along with excellent communication skills
  • Experience of multi-platform production delivery and good knowledge of the major digital platforms and the differences between them in terms of potential and how they can be exploited is required
  • Experience and knowledge of working in football and an in-depth knowledge and passion for sport and Premier League football
  • Proven leadership skills and experience of managing individuals and teams of multi-skilled staff and highly organised with the ability to oversee shoot planning and post-production delivery
