Lead nationwide outreach programmes that connect under-represented communities with opportunities in the creative industries.

Creative Access is one of the leading diversity organisations in the UK. A not-for-profit social enterprise, unrivalled in diverse recruitment, training and inclusion, Creative Access helps talented people to thrive in the creative industries who come from groups that are under-represented in terms of ethnicity, socio-economic backgrounds and disability.

Role objectives

  • Work in close collaboration with the Director of Talent and Outreach to deliver Creative Access’s nationwide outreach strategy, ensuring activity is purposeful, sustainable and impactful across all UK regions.
  • Lead outreach workstreams, including content development and project management of in-person and online Regional Insights Days, Employability Workshops and ‘Getting a job’ sessions, delivered across regions UK-wide.
  • Reach new and under-represented communities primarily aged 16 – 24 years and above, with a strong focus on under-served regions across the UK, and convert engagement into meaningful participation in Creative Access programmes.
  • Champion Creative Access externally in a way that is consistent, credible and clear, building the organisation’s reputation across candidate, employer, partner and alumni audiences.
  • Continually seek to improve and evolve outreach activity through insight gathering, feedback, and close collaboration with wider Access, Thrive and Comms teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the content development, planning and project management of Employability Workshops and ‘Getting a job’ online sessions aimed at ages 16 years and above.
  • Build and manage relationships with schools, colleges, youth organisations, community partners, job centres and adult learning centres across the UK’s regions and nations, to secure bookings, grow reach and develop new outreach formats.
  • Lead on the planning and delivery of on-site, regional quarterly insights days with employer partners, held in locations across the UK
  • Work within the outreach prioritisation framework to evaluate and respond to incoming outreach requests, declining or redirecting where activity does not meet agreed criteria.
  • Deliver and grow employer outreach activity, including quarterly roundtables, employer breakfast events and attendance at priority sector events such as the London Book Fair, with a focus on driving revenue and new partnerships.
  • Lead on candidate outreach including targeted careers fairs, community partner events, webinars, CV surgeries and online workshops, with a particular focus on hardest-to-reach and under-represented groups.
  • Develop and manage partner outreach including co-hosted events, joint campaigns and cross-promotion with aligned organisations.
  • Capture and feed insight back into the organisation, acting as eyes and ears on the ground with communities and feeding learning into organisational strategy.
  • Track and report on outreach activity against agreed measures including revenue, attendance, regional participation and conversion rates.
  • Work collaboratively with Access, Thrive and Comms teams to align outreach with broader Creative Access activity and communications calendars.
  • Manage outreach budgets and contribute to income generation through the delivery of bespoke outreach packages for employer and partner organisations.
  • Travel regularly across the UK’s regions and nations to deliver in-person outreach and events, acting as a visible and consistent presence for Creative Access outside London.

  • Experience of working with schools, colleges, community organisations or youth-facing settings, with an understanding of how to reach and engage under-represented groups outside of London.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to represent Creative Access externally with employers, partners, community organisations and young people.
