Details: The role of non-executive director is a voluntary unpaid one. We are happy to pay travel expenses for those travelling from outside London and are committed to making meetings accessible for all trustees.

Creative Access is looking for up to two non-executive directors to join our board. Use your skills and networks to make a genuine difference to the challenges of diversity, inclusion and social mobility in the creative economy by working with a talented organisation, making a great impact today and with the opportunity to make a bigger impact tomorrow.

Following the appointment of our new chief executive last year, we are now on the hunt for up to two non-executive directors to help shape and develop our strategy. Successful candidates will want to be part of a team that’s driven by a deep sense of social purpose and will embrace the challenge of delivering on the double bottom line of social impact and profit.

The role of the board is to support the strategic vision and leadership of Creative Access and to ensure we fulfil our mission. Non-executive directors are key ambassadors of Creative Access, promoting our work, helping to ensure best practice and contribute to the good governance of the organisation. We anticipate this taking approximately half a day per month of time.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with expertise in the following areas:

  • Organisational development and business growth
  • Entrepreneurship, innovation and technology
  • Experience of the creative, Arts, digital or technology industries
  • Diversity, inclusion and social mobility, especially people with a perspective on how programmes need to evolve for the current environment
  • Recruitment and training
  • Fundraising, including innovation and education / skills tenders or charity trusts and foundations
  • Knowledge of government initiatives in education, skills and the creative industries
