Prints and multiples officer
Closing date for applications: 27 October at 5.30 pm
Reporting to: Project lead, prints and multiples
Working hours: Monday to Friday 10:00am–6:00pm
Location: White Cube Bermondsey, London
Work with leading contemporary artists to deliver limited edition artwork and play a key role managing their lifecycle from production to client delivery.
White Cube was set up by Jay Jopling in 1993 as a project room for contemporary art. The gallery has since grown into one of the most influential commercial galleries in the world, representing internationally renowned artists such as Georg Baselitz, Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Mona Hatoum, Anselm Kiefer, Liu Wei, Park Seo Bo, Doris Salcedo and Jeff Wall. The gallery’s prints and multiples team works in close collaboration with leading contemporary artists and master printers or fabrication studios to produce limited edition artworks that are offered for sale in person and online. We see prints and multiples as a way for artists to complicate and broaden the scope of their practice while also making exceptional artworks more accessible to a wider audience. We are a small and ambitious team that works hard because we care about what we do.
The prints and multiples officer will play a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of our editions, from production to client delivery. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills to coordinate with various internal teams and external partners, including our registrar, finance and photography teams as well as framers, fabricators and shipping providers, ensuring our editions are recorded, handled, presented, packaged and delivered to the highest standards. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining data quality and ensuring records are accurate and up to date across all internal systems. As this area of the gallery grows, the prints and multiples officer will assist with research, take part in planning conversations and participate in the development of improved processes and systems that support the implementation of our strategic vision. The prints and multiples officer will report to the project lead and will work in collaboration with other internal teams as prints and multiples is developed into an exciting new pillar for the gallery, enabling us to reach new collectors and expand our ‘offer’ to our artists.
