Talent and skills coordinator

Salary: £28,000, pro-rata (£17,027 per annum)

Bristol Beacon is the South West’s largest concert hall, promoting musical excellence, creative learning, and community engagement. Alongside our renowned live music programme and Music Education Centre, we are one of the region’s most exciting and versatile event venues. Our concert halls, event spaces and public areas are central to our mission of uniting people through the joy of live music.
We are recruiting for a new role to support the delivery of key programmes and activity within our Talent and Skills development programme.
Key responsibilities
Work with the Industry Development Producer and Creative Skills Manager to:
- Support the Talent and Skills team with the coordination of key projects and programmes that form part of the annual programme of activity. This includes but not limited to, scheduling studio activity, coordinating mentors, liaising with exhibitors and industry guests, communicating with participants, and working with teams across the organisation
- Attend activity and events regularly, support with onsite coordination during events ensuring the operational side runs well and be ing a warm and professional presence in during internal events and when visiting external shows
- Support the team to gather feedback and evaluation information from participants to support our impact measurement requirements
- Monitor th e Talent and Skills inbox, respond to queries and support participants to feel prepared and confident to begin projects and courses
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure that activity is promoted and shared on our website and directly communicated to relevant communities. Support with collating programme content for Talent and Skills Events
- Manage industry contact databases and actively look to increase with relevant contacts where possible.
- Manage event invite and guestlists and coordinate with relevant departments internally and externally in an efficient and professional manner
- Support with any additional administrative and coordination needed to develop and deliver the talent and skills programs effectively and effectively
- On a day-to-day basis comply with the policies and procedures of Bristol Music Trust
Who we are looking for
- You will have knowledge and experience of working in the music, creative or live events sector, both locally and nationally, including awareness of relevant networks, organisations and industry professionals.
- You will have interest in artist development and creative skills, a commitment to access, representation and inclusion and experience of planning and coordinating events, ideally within these sectors.
- You will be able to provide a warm, professional and inclusive experience for participants, audiences and partners.
You’ll do this by using your strong coordination skills including IT and digital skills, content creation, inbox management, monitoring and evaluation and event management with confidence and calm professionalism, communicating well and building strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
