Alma Artists is a boutique talent management company that represents artists across film, television, stage, branding and radio. Alma was founded by George Monkland with the support of Tricycle Talent tricycletalent.com. Ms.Monkland has more than 15 years of experience in the representation business, including many years at some of the industry’s most prestigious companies such as Independent Talent, 42mp and Finch + Partners. Alma offers a holistic hands-on approach to representation that focuses on the individual needs of each client, helping them to navigate the complexities of the industry, ensuring they feel supported and heard every step of the way.

In this 12-month fixed term role, you will provide essential administrative and creative support across all areas of talent representation, learning the ins and outs of how to manage client careers, coordinate auditions, maintain relationships and support the smooth running of a boutique agency. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and a hard worker who loves film and television, and wants to develop their knowledge of the industry and the work that goes into representing talent.


Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the office through effective organisation and exceptional client care
  • Editing and preparing self-tapes submitted by clients and sending auditions off to casting
  • Attending drama school showcases/workshops
  • Chasing feedback for client auditions
  • Raising and chasing invoices for client payments
  • Attending premieres and press nights
  • Making sure the accounting is running smoothly, receiving feedback for each client audition to pass on to the clients wherever possible
  • Diary management for both the clients and the company, including scheduling meetings
  • Ensuring all the social media is up to date (Instagram, website, LinkedIn)
  • Building relationships in theatre and exploring opportunities for clients in radio
  • Sending mail outs to casting and producers when clients work is being released
  • General assistance to the team with ongoing projects for the client base
  • Day-to-day support for the team, including diary management, travel arrangements, general administrative support
  • Reach out to brands and individuals to generate new business leads
  • Eventually and as you develop in the role, learn to man the phones and field enquiries


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Must have a general understanding of the film and television industry and the nature of a talent agency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Ability to develop business relationships
  • Some previous experience in related fields is desirable
  • Knowledge of IMDBPRO, Tagmin, Xero and online banking is preferable but not essential.
  • Some knowledge of iMovie or Final Cut and experience of editing video is preferable
  • A good communicator who is able to take an intuitive and proactive approach to understanding and approaching tasks and challenges
  • Extremely organised and able to think laterally
  • A degree is not essential for this role, but A-level or equivalent qualification is required
