Work with industry experts to drive innovative solutions for Talon's Out of Home media tech platforms.
Talon is the UK’s only independently-owned Out of Home media specialist. They have ambitious growth plans, without compromising the vision of providing exceptional client service, independent advice and strategic expertise. They aim to be different, taking a data-led approach to planning and buying and to embrace technology at every turn.
As a tech intern in this entry-level role, you will rotate between three different departments, being placed in each team for a period of four months. The teams will be Accountability and Performance, Effectiveness, and Tech Ops (digital).
- The Effectiveness team is made up of a head of effectiveness who manages projects to support the overall business. A senior effectiveness executive who you would work closely with to project manage measurement, agency sessions and campaign effectiveness. The team serve all areas of the business and all agency patches with clients spanning across all verticals from finance to fast-moving consumer goods.
- IT Operations is a key function within Talon, ensuring the smooth performance of IT and business technologies so that business operations can proceed uninterrupted. The team is responsible to provide support for all Talon’s tech platforms, producing the data insights to make business decisions, supporting the finance users with Netsuite queries etc. The team supports 250+ internal Talon users and external users (agencies, media owners) who use the Talon tech platforms.
What you will gain

Key activities
- Proactively liaise with your team to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct time frame.
- Be able to assist each department within the criteria they set.
- Develop an understanding and utilisation of all tools and systems e.g. Plato, Ada, Atlas etc.
- Assist with projects and any tasks requested by team members.
- Support teams with admin/documentation/correspondence/presentations (ad hoc).
- Assist with workload when team members are on holiday.
- Support teams with diary/meeting coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Demonstrate proper care and respect for corporate assets.
- Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and grow industry knowledge through attendance in internal training programmes.
- Work to embody the Talon values and behaviours to maintain the best possible culture throughout Talon.
- Participate in projects and initiatives which drive Talon’s commitment to positive social and environmental causes, e.g., charity partnerships, volunteering, carbon offsetting etc.
What we're looking for
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Detailed, organised and proactive with a flexible approach
- A hardworking and reliable team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task
- Microsoft Office skills
- You may have previous office/admin experience but this is not necessary
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Aftereffects is also desirable but not essential
