The team’s role is to assist in maximising advertising revenue from commercial airtime, working within the relevant Ofcom regulations and in accordance with The Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice (BCAP) Code. The team are responsible for creating compliant commercial and sponsorship playlists for broadcast across Channel 4’s portfolio of TV channels and for streaming. The team ensure that all advertising breaks and advert and sponsorship placements are fit for broadcast, have passed all regulatory compliance, and are scheduled or served with due care and attention, establishing that their content and timing are suitable, in line with Clearcast guidance, and avoiding unsuitable juxtapositions in programmes. This role is a key point of contact for creative agencies, Campaign Operations and the wider Sales team.
