Join us for our next Creative Access masterclass on Tuesday 5th July, in person at the National Theatre. Hear from a range of theatre specialists working at the National Theatre. They will discuss their respective areas of expertise spanning directing, dramaturgy, playwriting, marketing & sales, business planning and governance. Join us for a relaxed panel discussion, networking and refreshments.

Panel

Ola Animashawun - National Theatre Associate and Connections Dramaturg and the co-founder and Creative Director of the playwriting consultancy, Euphoric Ink. Ola is also a former Associate Director of the Royal Court Theatre and has also held positions as an Associate Artist, Dramaturg and Mentor for Belgrade Theatre, Cheltenham Everyman Theatre, Theatre Absolute, Shop Front Theatre, and Eclipse Theatre. He is an Alfred Fagon Black Champion of Theatre.

Juliet Gilkes Romero - Writer in Residence at the National Theatre attached to the New Work Department for 2022/2023. Juliet is the recipient of the 2020 Alfred Fagon Award for Best New Play with The Whip, the Roland Rees Bursary 2019, (named in honour of the co-founder of the Alfred Fagon Award) and the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain Best Play Award 2009 for At The Gates of Gaza. Screen includes Soon Gone; A Windrush Chronicle.

Sara Bakhaty - Deputy Director of Marketing & Sales at the National Theatre. Prior to joining the National Theatre, Sara has over a decade of experience spanning brand strategy, marketing and business development from her time working both in-house at the John Lewis Partnership and Live Nation as well as two leading advertising agencies, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) and RKCR.

Lisa Jonas (chair) - Assistant Director Business Planning & Governance at the National Theatre. Lisa has had senior operations roles across a range of sectors and businesses spanning a 25-year career. This includes being Head of Operations at Creative Access between 2013 and 2016. In addition to her role at the National Theatre, she is also a part of the National Theatre Culture Team and is responsible for Access and Disability at the National Theatre.

This event is aimed at people under-represented in the creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to Black, Asian and ethnically diverse candidates, disabled people, and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
