Alongside our partners, we provide some of the most exciting musical experiences in the capital, from dazzling classical concerts and opera to unique shows with leading contemporary artists, cutting-edge electronic creations, durational experiences, and cross-arts collaborations.&nbsp; &nbsp;Job Summary&nbsp;We are looking for an experienced Assistant Technical Manager (ATM) to work closely with the Technical Manager, Music, in planning, directing and managing the technical delivery of the Barbican Concert Hall program of over 100 concerts and associated events. The ATM will support the Stage, Technical and Projection Teams in all areas of live music organisation, show advancing and technical delivery. You will assist in overseeing and booking the equipment requirements for all set-ups, soundchecks, rehearsals, use of our recording studio, and get-ins/outs for the Centre’s music events, all within budget and on time.&nbsp;You will assist in creating the rotas for the technical team event shifts. You will have relevant professional technical training in the arts, and knowledge of the music industry and understanding the creative processes of live events is essential. You must have a demonstrable track record of working in a multi-disciplinary arts venue on artistic and commercial events. A good knowledge of the Health &amp; Safety legislation and safe working practices and experience in managing and motivating technical teams is also essential. &nbsp; Responsibilities<ul><li>To report to the Technical Manager – Music and work alongside the other Technical Managers to assist the delivery of over 250 events per year to one international standard, reflecting the Barbican’s standing as a world-class arts centre and conference venue.</li><li>To work with the Music Production team on the advance and delivery of music events, offering technical support, and to organise equipment and freelancer hires.</li><li>To attend production meetings, including site visits where necessary. This may involve weekend and evening work, so some flexibility is required.
