Take your first steps towards a career in publishing with this paid internship, offering the chance to learn from literary agents and gain experience supporting their work with authors.

Felicity Bryan Associates is offering a three-month, paid internship programme in 2027, based at our beautiful offices in Oxford. Our 2027 internship will run from Monday 11th January to Friday 2nd April.

We’re looking for bright, motivated individuals who are serious about starting a career in publishing and eager to gain hands-on experience at a dynamic literary agency. This is a rare opportunity to learn about every aspect of our work – from reading submissions and assisting with social media and office admin, to supporting our agents and authors.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and degree levels, and are especially interested in those with:

  • Strong reading and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A genuine enthusiasm for books and publishing
  • A willingness to learn and contribute across the team

Many of our past interns have gone on – often directly – to full-time roles in publishing houses and literary agencies.

This is a full-time, paid internship (at the Oxford Living Wage), open to applicants aged 18 or over, who are based in the UK or Ireland and have the unrestricted right to work full-time.

Please note: We are unable to consider applicants on student visas or those with restricted working hours.

To apply, please send the below to Ria Chatrath.

  • Your most up-to-date CV
  • A covering letter (all in one word document or PDF)

As part of your covering letter, please tell us about a recently published book you’ve read (published within the last two years) and why it stood out to you.

Longlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual interview.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an in-person interview.

We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented in the creative industries.

Please make sure that you state in your application that you found this role via Creative Access.
