Bring your HR and admin skills to an organisation breaking down barriers in the creative industries.

Creative Access is the leading organisation working to create equity, diversity and inclusion in the UK creative industries.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC), providing career-long access, opportunities, support and training to make the creative industries better reflect society. Our mission is to break down the barriers faced by those from historically under-represented groups to accessing and building sustainable careers.

Working with 2,000+ employer partners and a community of more than 170,000 individuals across the UK, we deliver impactful programmes, recruitment services and training that drive systemic change across the sector.

After a year of exciting growth, we are now looking for a People and Culture Administrator to support our team. This is a newly created role where:

  • You’ll be the go-to person for a lot of what happens day to day
  • You’ll report to our Finance Manager
  • You’ll work closely with our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and colleagues across the organisation

What you’ll be working on

Looking after our people

  • Welcoming new starters, including contracts, offer letters, pre-employment checks, inductions and IT set-up
  • Making sure leavers have a smooth offboarding
  • Keeping employee records, HR documents and absence records accurate and confidential
  • Being the first port of call for everyday HR questions, and knowing when to pass things on
  • Helping with probation and performance reviews, HR policies and changes to people’s roles
  • Working alongside our Finance Manager and external HR adviser

Supporting Discover Creative Careers

  • To begin with, a big part of your role will be supporting Discover Creative Careers (DCC), a programme funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)
  • Organising programme activities, meetings, events and schedules
  • Keeping in touch with internal and external partners
  • Keeping trackers and records up to date so the team can deliver and report on the programme

Keeping things ticking over

  • Giving admin support to the SLT and heads of department, from meetings to paperwork
  • Working with our Systems & IT Manager on equipment and system access

Building a great place to work

  • Helping us build a culture that’s as inclusive as our mission
  • Coordinating internal comms, team socials, away days and engagement activities
  • Helping our Events Team with planning, logistics and bookings
  • Spotting processes that could be simpler and helping improve them

Is this you?

  • Previous experience in HR, people or general business administration, or a mix of these
  • Hands-on experience with onboarding, records and supporting colleagues
  • Very organised and great at juggling priorities
  • Friendly, approachable and trusted with confidential information
  • Happy to pitch in across different teams
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • A genuine interest and passion for our mission

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • A CIPD Level 3 or similar HR qualification (completed or working towards)
  • Experience in the not-for-profit, social enterprise or creative sectors
  • Experience supporting programmes, projects or events with lots of stakeholders
  • Some familiarity with employment procedures and internal comms

If you don’t tick every box, please apply anyway.

What’s in it for you

  • A supportive, mission-led team where your work makes a real difference
  • The chance to build on your people admin experience
  • New skills across HR, operations, programme coordination and employee engagement
  • Hybrid working, with 1 to 2 days a week in our London office
  • Plenty of chances to learn and develop

To apply

  • Log in to your Creative Access account or register today to apply for this opportunity
  • Upload your CV and cover letter as one document (maximum 2 pages of A4). Applications without a tailored cover letter will not be accepted
  • Once submitted, you can no longer amend your application, so proof-read carefully
