Almost all programmes contain music in some form, whether it’s specially composed, production library music, commercial records by well-known artists or live performances - The ITV Music Team oversees it all.

We’re looking for a dedicated music administrator to join the ITV Music Team, which manages the legal, creative and technical elements of music use at ITV.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • Experience working within the field of administration preferably in the music industry or similar field preferably within a broadcast music team or for a music publisher, record label or music collecting society or for a music supervision company or legal firm specialising in music copyright
  • Basic knowledge of music licensing and copyright, including an understanding of the differences between masters and compositions, mechanical, synchronisation and performing rights
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably on multiple projects under pressure and within tight timeframes in a fast-paced production environment
  • Excellent organisational skills, meticulous and unwavering attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively, clearly and concisely
  • Tech savvy and proficient in Gmail and Google Docs and Microsoft Office (or similar)
  • Skilled in negotiation with the ability to work collaboratively and to be adaptable to change, new ideas and processes

The key role criteria is as follows:

  • Degree educated in a related field, or equivalent experience is beneficial
  • Carry out music supervision services, (including music research and supply, music clearance and negotiation, licensing and contracting as well as interpreting and constructing licence agreements and arranging payments) to both in-house and independent producers making content for ITV and third-party broadcasters, supported by the music team
  • Execute reporting and music usage analysis tasks
  • Work collaboratively and independently on ad-hoc projects and any other queries and enquiries surrounding music administration as required
  • Some tasks may involves additional hours and travel in the UK
