This role requires an individual with a thorough understanding of best practice in digital content as well as how to nurture and represent a high-profile and respected cultural brand.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsibilities<ul><li>Report to the director of content, publishing engaging website content, from practical information to original features</li><li>Assist the director of content and deputy head of editorial in updating and improving existing evergreen website content</li><li>Assist the director of content and deputy head of editorial in creating new website content, including writing copy and briefing designers</li><li>Take delivery of material, editing copy as required and building pages in the CMS to the highest standard</li><li>Work closely with editorial colleagues to identify and prioritise content around our current and previous prizes, to ensure they reach the widest possible international audience</li><li>Work with editorial colleagues to improve existing content and generate new ideas, including for content that supports and champions our charitable mission and values</li><li>Maintain the Booker Prizes’ digital image library within the CMS, uploading and labelling images</li><li>Ensure all digital activity is on brand and consistent, and adheres to the organisation’s style guide</li></ul>&nbsp;Knowledge, skills &amp; experienceThe successful candidate will:<ul><li>Have demonstrable experience as either a digital content producer, editor, writer, or all three, ideally in a journalism, book publishing or cultural institution environment</li><li>Have experience of using CMS systems</li><li>Have excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Be organised and reliable with excellent attention to detail, and will be able to work calmly under pressure, especially when working to tight deadlines</li><li>Be a self-starter who can work on their own initiative as well as collaboratively within a team, and with third parties or external individuals/companies</li><li>Be able to prioritise and handle multiple simultaneous tasks</li><li>Have a good knowledge of the Booker Prizes and a passion for contemporary fiction</li><li>Experience with SEO best practice, image editing software (e.g. Photoshop), and other digital tools (e.g. Jotform, Mailchimp and quiz-making tools) is a bonus&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;How to apply&nbsp;Please send a covering letter of no more than two pages outlining your suitability for the role and a CV by 12pm Monday, 26 January 2026 via the 'Apply' button.
