This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for music, excellent communication and copywriting skills, knowledge of social media and attention to detail. &nbsp; &nbsp;What you'll be doingBirdsong Music Publishing: Catalogue and score/parts administration<ul><li>Proofread copyright information, instrumentation list, commissioner, programme notes and relevant details on scores</li><li>Create title pages to fit Birdsong’s house style using Adobe Acrobat</li><li>Assist with uploading scores to the digital sheet music hub including inputting metadata</li><li>Update Birdsong’s works catalogue.</li></ul>Birdsong Music Publishing: Marketing<ul><li>Ensure Birdsong’s website is accurate and up to date, performing regular checks and audits.</li><li>Day-to-day management of Birdsong’s social media channels (Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn).</li><li>Creating and scheduling content for Birdsong’s social media channels using Canva and Hootsuite.</li><li>Writing news articles for the website.</li><li>Assist with creating monthly internal and external mailouts using Mailchimp.</li></ul>Birdsong Music Publishing: General<ul><li>Track composition performance dates on Overture.</li><li>Assist with research when necessary (e.g. A&amp;R research and Prize and Grant applications).</li><li>Use DISCO to upload recordings and create playlists.</li></ul>Marketing – Social Media<ul><li>Responsible for the process by which news and digital content is uploaded to social media channels (TikTok, X, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn).</li><li>Day-to-day management of all social media channels.</li><li>Create a content calendar of regular social media posts using Hootsuite.</li><li>Assist with creation of weekly/monthly Instagram Reels for departments.</li><li>Create content for social media channels, including a selection of photographs, videos, and articles using Canva.</li></ul>Marketing – website and news<ul><li>Regular updates to the HP website including, but not limited to, adding reviews, videos, audio, photos, biographies, and concert calendars</li><li>Responsible for the weekly webnews process, ensuring news items are uploaded in a timely manner, proofread, and added to the appropriate pages on the website</li><li>Responsible for monthly albums webnews item</li><li>Assisting with building new artist and client pages on the website</li><li>Updating the monthly touring home page, track record, tour scheudles, and webnews</li><li>Assist with proofreading artist biographies</li></ul>Marketing – General<ul><li>BBC Music Magazine and Grammophone magazine reviews and clippings distribution to colleagues</li><li>Assist with creation of weekly internal newsletter</li><li>Assist with updating the company intranet &nbsp; Communication: Collaborating with internal teams, artists, and industry professionals. &nbsp;</li></ul> Knowledge, skills and experience<ul><li>Strong Communication &amp; Writing – Basic experience with writing and proofreading (e.g., university coursework, blogging, or social media posts)</li><li>Music Notation – Ability to read and interpret sheet music accurately</li><li>Metadata – A basic understanding of digital music organisation is useful but can be learned on the job</li><li>Interest in Music &amp; Marketing – A passion for music and curiosity about marketing, social media, and publishing</li><li>Attention to Detail – Ability to check information carefully (useful for proofreading and catalog updates)</li><li>Basic Organisational Skills – Managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines</li><li>Digital &amp;
