Fuel climate action narratives with Carbon Copy by creating engaging social media videos and podcast episodes in this exciting role.
Carbon Copy is a UK charity that helps drive more big-thinking local action to protect us from climate breakdown and to defend nature.
The Carbon Copy network includes a unique collection of inspiring climate action stories told by over 1,000 local organisations from across the UK; area-specific information about the changing climate and Climate Action Plans; popular podcasts and blogs; and nationwide events that bring people together.
The Carbon Copy podcast launched in early 2022, and has so far run for two very distinct seasons. In early 2024, we are looking to produce and release our next season – this time aiming for fortnightly episodes from March until the end of July.
Season 3 will be hosted by Carbon Copy’s Chief Storyteller, Isabelle Sparrow, and will focus on bringing to life some of the most inspiring and impactful stories published on Carbon Copy.
We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Content Producer, to support with recording, producing and editing podcast episodes. In addition, the successful candidate should have video editing capability, and will support our Social Media Manager in editing high quality videos for social media.
Responsibilities
(75%)
- Working closely with Chief Storyteller to write and record podcast episodes
- Supporting Chief Storyteller with podcast logistics and guest management
- Editing audio recordings into engaging podcast episodes
- Traveling to project locations and assisting with podcast field recordings, when needed
(25%)
- Assisting with shooting video content for social media (during podcast recordings and separately)
- Editing video footage into high quality social media videos
