Abrams & Chronicle Books Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our UK sales team on a full-time basis.

Based near Smithfield Market in London, Abrams & Chronicle Books is the European arm of two acclaimed US publishing houses: ABRAMS, in New York, and Chronicle Books, in San Francisco. Our illustrious lists include a wide range of award-winning books, gifts, games and stationery.

You will be reporting into the gift & special sales director and the role will be supporting all areas of the UK sales team including our team of freelance gift agents.

Key responsibilities will include providing quality service to specified customers, processing orders, managing customer mailings and handling queries and requests in a timely manner.

Knowledge, skills, experience

  • Good organisational and time management skills, being able to juggle priorities is essential
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative approach to working
  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a love of our products and a great ‘can-do’ attitude

Desirable

  • Work experience in an administrative capacity would be desirable but not essential

For the time being, you will be based at our offices in London for a minimum of three days a week and then the rest of the time working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Processing customer orders and working with the warehouse to ensure fulfilment
  • Coordinating a clear flow of accurate and relevant information
  • Responding to queries including stock review, order confirmation, invoice and delivery queries.
  • Responsible for the daily management of the order database platform
  • Responsible for sending catalogues, creating order forms and sell-sheets, managing and sending out samples
  • Providing images, data, information and other essential documents
  • Attending and helping to organise Trade Shows
