Proactive and clear communication is key to success as a Marketing Executive. You’ll be working closely with your own tight-knit team, but also others in our 200-person marketing department, as well as colleagues in editorial, sales, and product. You may also be representing OUP to external stakeholders such as authors, journal editors, academic society representatives, and institutional customers.

Responsibilities

  • As our new Marketing Executive, you’ll play an integral role in developing and executing on Academic Marketing strategies to engage with our core audiences of researchers, faculty, practitioners, and librarians
  • Marketing Executives work closely with managers to create campaign plans, write content, develop digital advertising campaigns, and conduct channel and performance analysis
  • Our culture prioritises adaptability, analytics, and collaboration
  • This is a fast-paced environment where you can take your foundational marketing skills to the next level through our hands-on learning approach and increased opportunities for end-to-end campaign ownership

Knowledge, skills, experience

  • Experience of working in a marketing role
  • Experience understanding strategy and applying it at a tactical level
  • Experience implementing marketing campaigns
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

We are thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working. We expect this role to require approximately 4 days per month in the Oxford office.
