We are looking for a personable photographer with a genuine interest in architecture and design to join our growing and fast-paced appraisals team.

The Modern House is an estate agency that helps people live in more thoughtful and beautiful ways. We believe in design as a powerful force for good. Inspired by the principles of Modernism, we represent design-led homes across the UK that pay attention to space, light, materials, nature and decoration.

The photographer will work with our core business, shooting up to four homes a week, and providing exceptional images which will form the basis of our sales listings. We encourage a creative and client focused approach, that prioritises showing homes in their best light.

The photographer is responsible for producing images of homes that are new to the market with The Modern House, working closely with our Appraisals Specialists and New Client Team to ensure that our photography remains industry-leading and working to improve our client experience.

Responsibilities

• To undertake 4 photo shoots per week, primarily in London
• To supply fully edited images to the appraisals team within 48 hours of the photoshoot, as per the TMH photography guidelines
• To create a smooth and professional experience for the client, as a key part of the sales process
• To collaborate closely with appraisers on photography briefs, and undertake light styling / curation to ensure that all houses are presented in a smart and on-brand way
• To assist with minor edits and photoshop amends to sales images
• To contribute critical and technical feedback to freelancers, in collaboration with the New Client Team
• To participate in and help oversee test shoots of new freelance sales photographers
• To contribute to the development of the house photographic style, working collaboratively with the appraisals team to ensure listing photography is coherent and forward thinking
• To undertake floorplan training and produce floorplans as required

Knowledge, skills, experience

• The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage their time, and work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team
• You will have a genuine interest in architecture and design
• You'll be a confident photographer who can produce professional, stylish work
