As Novel continues to grow a slate of longform narrative podcast series, we are looking for a producer with both factual and fiction/drama experience to spend an initial two months working on a fascinating and unusual project.

Novel produces premium original podcasts, as well as award winning content for leading broadcast networks and platforms, including the BBC, iHeartRadio, Wondery, Audible and Spotify.

Whilst investigative and narrative documentary storytelling are firmly in our DNA, Novel also develops and produces shows spanning comedy, politics, sport and scripted.

With great development and IP at the centre, our ideas are increasingly migrating to TV, Film and publishing.

We are an ever expanding team of 50+ people based in London.

Overview

We have a development deal in place on a major project for one of the world’s leading podcast networks. The project is a hybrid of drama and documentary so we’re looking for a producer with wide ranging experience to bring this project to life.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on longform serialised narrative/fiction podcasts or a back catalogue of high quality factual/drama work for leading broadcast networks.

We’re looking to hear from candidates that have a great ear for audio storytelling, a flair for getting the best out of actors and a solid understanding of what it takes to make impactful podcasts that gain critical acclaim. A highly creative approach to audio production is a must. Editing on Descript and Reaper is a significant bonus.

If you fit the bill and are interested in this role then please do get in touch. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing company packed with creative programme makers, sound designers and experienced executive producers who’ll be on hand to help you craft groundbreaking podcast series.

Whilst the initial contract is for two months, if the development deal leads to a commission this may lead to the contract being extended.

Whilst we are currently home-working, we will soon be back working from a central London office. We do however have flexible working policies around time and location, in the hope of being as accommodating to individual circumstances as possible.
