Support our global team of audio visual designers to deliver amazing spaces.

Charcoalblue is the world’s leading multi-national theatre, acoustic, and digital consultancy. We provide guidance and design for a broad range of buildings and events, including theatre, live performance, music, culture, education, workplaces, entertainment, and sport. We engage with all members of a project team – the clients, architects, engineers, cost consultant, and contractors – on how the design choices they make affect the functionality of the building.

We are looking to employ a computer aided design (CAD)/ building information modelling (BIM) support assistant, based in the UK supporting our global team of audiovisual designers.

Responsibilities

  • This role will be responsible for working closely with our BIM coordinator to deliver high quality CAD/BIM assistance across the practice and ensuring this is done in line with industry standards
  • You will report to the BIM coordinator, and support on a wide range of projects and will be required to use your own initiative and manage a diverse workload

Knowledge, skills, experience

  • This role requires demonstrable experience in a similar role, though training in the role and responsibilities will be provided
  • You should be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of using CAD/BIM software to design theatre/performing arts spaces and systems

Desirable

  • An interest in live performance, broadcast, and/or events would be beneficial but is not essential for the role

As we work in a distributed model, the role may be undertaken from home with only occasional attendance in the studio and at project/client or site meetings as required.
