The production intern will take on a role producing research to help the editorial team and presenters make their weekly show. You will also receive training in key systems such as iNews and Silvermouse and develop basic editing skills. Whilst investigative and narrative documentary storytelling are firmly in our DNA, Novel also develops and produces shows spanning comedy, politics, sport and scripted. 
With great development and IP at the center, our ideas are increasingly migrating to TV, Film and publishing. 
We are an ever expanding team of 50+ people based in London. 
 
Overview
At Novel we’re looking for a producer to lead the production of a new anthology series. Each episode will be a self-contained story related to a years-long investigation Novel has been undertaking. Though much of the reporting has been completed, this person will work with our host to conduct sensitive interviews and craft compelling narratives from the material collected. We need someone with a proven track record of working on narrative series and formatted shows, with a strong interest in investigative journalism, especially in the context of activity on the dark web. 
The ideal candidates will have a great ear for audio storytelling and four years experience as a producer. A highly creative approach to audio production is a must. Experience editing on Reaper and Descript is a significant plus.

General event logistics assistance in the production of the BAFTA Award ceremonies. You'll demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be a clear and concise communicator and have an interest in event management with a keen eye for detail. You will need to be self-motivated and hardworking, proactive and able to learn quickly on the job and work to tight deadlines.
 
albert (sustainability)
Gaining an insight into the exposure to working in film/TV production departments and the growth of being more environmentally sustainable. Undertake administrative tasks to support the Director of albert and wider project objectives, including diary management, writing minutes, and sending out briefing materials. Support in managining the albert inbox, directing correspondence to the relevant member of the team and liaising with production teams regarding their use of albert tools and resources. Carry out evidence-checking assessments for albert sustainable production certification.
 
Partnerships &amp; fundraising
Assisting the partnerships team during BAFTA’s busy Awards season and beyond, specifically with the delivery of key activity including the Style Suites and industry partnerships. The internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience of BAFTA’s work and to learn how large-scale partnerships are delivered. You will support the wider partnerships and fundraising team in day-to-day administrative duties during this busy and exciting period.
 
Production
The individual they are looking for needs to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be a clear and concise communicator and have an interest in production, with a keen eye for detail. They will need to be self-motivated and able to learn quickly on the job. The role will require working across four award ceremonies and supporting the production team.

As Novel continues to grow a slate of longform narrative podcast series, we are looking for an audio producer with a proven track record in longform serialised narrative podcasts. 
Novel produces premium original podcasts, as well as award-winning content for leading broadcast networks and platforms, including the BBC, iHeartRadio, Wondery, Audible and Spotify. 
Whilst investigative and narrative documentary story-telling are firmly in our DNA, Novel also develops and produces shows in comedy, politics, sport and scripted.
Novel works with top-tier brands and IP owners such as F1, Google &amp; The Premier League who appreciate our abilities to create innovative branded podcasts that people actually want to listen to. 
With great development and IP at the centre of the business, our ideas are increasingly migrating to TV, film and publishing, with numerous projects in development.
The company has grown from 4 to 45 staff in 18 months, with growth underwritten by a large number of deals, primarily from the USA. Represented by United Talent Agency, and with an incredibly rich slate of shows, Novel has cemented itself as Europe's biggest independent podcast production company, with an ever expanding number of commissions and original podcasts set to launch soon.
 
OVERVIEW 
As Novel continues to grow a slate of longform narrative podcast series, we are looking for an audio producer with a proven track record in longform serialised narrative podcasts. This producer will be joining a years-long investigation that Novel has been undertaking and will work with our host and Lead Producer to structure and craft a compelling narrative from all the material collected. 
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in investigative journalism, especially in the context of activity on the dark web, and four years experience as a producer.
A highly creative approach to audio production is a must. Experience editing on Reaper and Descript is a significant plus.
