Entertainment One Ltd. (eOne) is a talent-driven independent studio that specializes in the development, acquisition, production, financing, distribution and sales of entertainment content. As part of global play and entertainment company Hasbro (NASDAQ: HAS), eOne's expertise spans across film and television production and sales; production, distribution and brand management of kids and family properties; digital content; and immersive and live entertainment.
Reporting to the creative director of UK Scripted, the team assistant is a pivotal, key member of the vibrant London based scripted and production team. You will provide full administrative support, diary coordination and meeting scheduling for the creative director and the development team.
The assistant will be expected to liaise with writers agents and talent agents to set up meetings, log submissions, and develop an understanding of the creative development process. You will be required to go to the theatre and have your finger on the pulse of new emerging talent. A passion for tv drama and film is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting the creative director of Scripted Television UK with the day to day running of the business, including but not limited to diary management, liaising with broadcasters, buyers and talent management to schedule meetings, processing expenses, raising POs, and organising and updating the development slate
- Booking travel and accommodation where necessary
- Arranging hospitality and lunches for meetings
- Dealing with internal and external queries and taking messages / directing queries as appropriate
- Building and maintaining working relationships with other assistants across the business and within the industry
- Assisting in the day to day running of the development department, gaining an understanding of the production process as shows go from development to green light
Knowledge, skills, experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A self-starter
- Demonstrates integrity when dealing with confidential information and material
- Ability to analyse information and good visual presentation skills for documents
- A keen and genuine interest in scripted television
- Strong communication skills
