How does the programme work?

We're looking for mentees interested in one of these areas: technology, legal, finance.
Starting with a virtual Meet &amp; Greet session in June 2022, the mentoring partnerships will run for six months. Mentees will have the opportunity to meet with their mentor once a month for approximately an hour.

Plumbing & heating engineer apprentice (WBSL Reach)

This a three+ year development programme giving you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and develop practical skills for an exciting and rewarding career in analytics.
Our apprenticeship programme is designed to provide work experience and a related qualification to people leaving formal education and who have decided to pursue an Apprenticeship rather than attend University.
As an analyst apprentice, 20% of your time will be spent studying towards a BSc Honours degree apprenticeship in Digital &amp; Technology Solutions with Ada, National College for Digital skills.
The other 80% of your time will be spent applying this learning on-the-job at C4, both based in London, working on cutting-edge projects with real business applications. As part of your employment package, you will receive a full-time salary, with C4 paying at the real London Living Wage.
Our apprenticeships are full-time, with week-long blocks spent working in a C4 department and week-long blocks spent completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. Our Apprentices have external tutors who deliver workshops and seminars to them and offer support throughout the apprenticeship. It is essential for apprentices to be able to balance their work and learning time and commit to delivering what is required for the formal learning elements in order to successfully achieve the qualifications on completion. Am I eligible to apply?
You must be over 18 years old and be able to access the Channel 4 London office Ada Whitechapel campus.
The start date of the apprenticeship is September 2022.
By the time the successful candidate starts at C4, they cannot be enrolled in any formal education or have a similar qualification at the same or higher level than what is being offered on this apprenticeship. For example, you are not eligible to apply for this role if you already have a Diploma or higher qualification relating to Analytics.

This role sits within the All 4 department in Channel 4. All 4 is one of the biggest and youngest skewing UK broadcaster video-on-demand services, with over 10,000 hours of content, over 5m monthly viewing accounts, and 75% of UK 16-34s registered with the service. It’s home to some of the biggest and noisiest shows on TV, from Gogglebox to Derry Girls, It’s A Sin to Come Dine with Me. All 4 is available on over 20 different platforms including TVs, mobiles and PCs, and the department is tasked with making sure that no matter where it’s consumed, the experience is as easy and enjoyable as possible.
In the Analytics team, we work across almost every area of the business that needs VOD data, and Analysts have a lot of autonomy and influence. The bicentenary press &amp; PR manager is a fixed term role that will generate both proactive and reactive media engagement around this milestone.
Working as part of the Press &amp; Public Affairs Department, you will develop PR campaigns and activities that maximize the Gallery’s use of earned media, seamlessly integrating with other NG200 communications activities, such as paid and social media.
 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>You will work with the Press &amp; Public Affairs department to conceptualise and develop NG200 PR campaigns that capture the imagination, enhance the brand and drive positive awareness of the National Gallery</li>
<li>You will be a key point of contact for Press &amp; PR with our NG200 stakeholders. You will prepare press releases for multi channel distribution to appropriate media organisations</li>
<li>You will organise and run NG200 press and PR events. You will identify and implement opportunities to use all types of communications channels effectively to raise awareness of NG200 and the National Gallery</li>
<li>You will prepare Q&amp;A and other briefing documents</li>

The Independent Cinema Office (ICO) is the national organisation for the support and development of the independent cinema exhibition sector in the UK.
We offer film programming services to cinemas, bring films into distribution and are the main provider of events, training and advice for the independent cinema sector. We work with the main funding bodies in film exhibition, are a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity.
Our film programming clients include cinemas as diverse as the Watershed in Bristol, Malvern Theatres in Worcestershire and Catford Mews in South East London. In 2020-21 we delivered a national film tour, Second Sight, exploring the legacy of the UK’s Black Film Workshop Movement with a series of award-winning artists’ commissions. The ICO also delivers Screening Days, a national and regional showcase for cultural cinema for film societies, community cinemas and cinemas; and runs a portfolio of national and internationally renowned training programmes for exhibitors.
 
The role
One day you may be creating a social media campaign for our digital platform, The Cinema of Ideas, the next you may be researching venues for one of our international training courses and the next organising the delivery of preview films for our Screening Days events. We work with many different kinds of partners across the UK – cinemas, festivals, film societies; national bodies; distributors and education and training providers.  
The ICO is a small arts organisation and the individual we are seeking must be a self-starter. You will be assisting busy marketing and event teams to deliver activities across all of our services. 
 
Knowledge, skills, experience

<li>You must be a great communicator and planner and extremely organised, with exacting attention to detail</li>
<li>We need someone with copy-writing skills, tech savvy, well versed in using digital platforms, great ideas, and who shares our passion for cultural cinema</li>
<li>You don’t have to have worked in the cultural or arts sector before, but must be able to demonstrate transferrable skills</li>
<li>You must be proactive, able to use your own initiative to juggle a variety of tasks and be able to prioritise your own time, work to deadlines and contribute to the team</li>

Our offices are in London. In line with our new hybrid working policy staff are able to work remotely for up to 50% of their time. This post is advertised for five days a week, working eight-hour days (including one hour for lunch) but we are open to it being delivered across fewer days.

Marketing & administration coordinator

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
 
Joffe Books is looking for an experienced project editor with proven trade editorial experience to cover a maternity leave.
The successful candidate will personally project manage a wide-ranging list of commercial fiction, from delivery to publication. It’s a fantastic chance to work with some of our brilliant authors, including Rebecca Tope, Gretta Mulrooney, Margaret Murphy, Catherine Moloney, Cath Staincliffe and Chris Collett. This is not a commissioning role.
At Joffe Books, we are a small, passionate and collaborative team that cares deeply about our authors and our readers. We are looking for highly organised, fleet-footed, creative project editor, who can hit the ground running and is keen to make a significant contribution. We are especially looking for someone with a holistic approach to publishing who will keep at it until the whole project is right.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

Knowledge, skills, experience
<ul>
<li>Previous project editing or desk editing experience</li>
<li>A keen interest in commercial fiction, especially crime fiction</li>
<li>Comprehensive understanding of formatting and editing in Word (using wildcards, macros, etc.)</li>
<li>Meticulous copy-editing, proofreading and research skills</li>
<li>Copywriting experience, in particular creating blurbs and being able to sum up a novel in a single sentence</li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail with very strong communication and organizational skills</li>
<li>A proactive can-do attitude and a great team player, with the ability to work independently</li>
</ul>
Desired experience/skills
