This is a brilliant opportunity to apply for an industry-led course that would normally cost £250. The sponsored places available are ring-fenced for those who cannot afford the fees and are the first in their family to go to university, didn't go to university, and/or were eligible for free school meals, and/or are from outside the South East and/or have a disability.


An Introduction to Book Publishing - April 7th-10th

  • This 4-day online course provides a comprehensive overview of the publishing industry and gives delegates a good understanding of the business.
  • Taught by experts from across publishing, it provides an up-to-date, practical, and relevant look at the industry.
  • Providing an insight into the structure of a publishing house and the main roles within it - including editorial and design, production, rights, sales and marketing.
  • The course is delivered in real-time and helps the participants build connections and gives them the chance to ask the experts questions. Helping them to understand the publishing industry and identify the right role for them.
